Chiropractor
Dr. Eric Reed
Born and raised in the Rogue Valley and after his long road of education has decided to return home to practice. He is very excited to give back to the community that’s given him so much throughout his life. After all, he began his soccer career here in Medford at the tender age of 4 years old. Dr. Eric S. Reed played in the Rogue Valley Soccer League until he entered North Medford High School. He continued playing soccer and excelling academically, leading him to continue his soccer career and education at Saint Mary’s College in California.
At Saint Mary’s College he earned a Bachelors of Science in Health Science while he played Division I soccer. He then went on to complete his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon. He has been voted Best Chiropractor in the Medford Sneak Preview Magazine's Annual Reader Awards more than once.

Dr. Joty Bains-Reed
Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. Yes, she’s a Canadian. Her sport of choice growing up was volleyball and she enjoyed her nine years of playing very much. She played in several leagues and for her respective schools throughout her education until it was time for undergraduate education and she made the choice between sports and academics. As you can probably guess, academics won.
Dr. Joty Bains-Reed completed three and a half years of her Bachelor’s of Science at Simon Fraser University in the City of Burnaby in British Columbia, Canada. She then moved to Portland, Oregon to complete her Bachelors of Science and her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Western States Chiropractic College. She has been living in Oregon now for more than 10 years and loves it. She loves calling Southern Oregon her home and serving her community here for many years to come.

Dr. Kevin Steck
Dr. Kevin Steck graduated from the University of Western States with a Doctorate of Chiropractic and Masters in Sports Medicine. He is trilingual, fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. His passion for chiropractic care began in his early years as a competitive athlete, motivating him to achieve additional certification as a chiropractic sports physician.
Dr. Steck’s goal is to help all of his patients individually achieve their highest level of function and mobility through adjustment, therapy, and education. He enjoys seeing his patients progress toward their goals and specializes in working with athletes of all levels. Raised in Southern Utah, Dr. Steck enjoys hiking, biking, and exploring the outdoors. When he is not at the office or on a trail, he can usually be found in the kitchen trying out new recipes or playing racquetball with his wife. He is honored to serve the people of Southern Oregon and provide them with the highest level of care.
Chiropractor
Dr. Rich Vanderloo
Rich Vanderloo, DC is the newest addition to our Southern Oregon Chiropractic team. Dr. Vanderloo ran his own successful practice in Portland, Oregon, until April 2023 before relocating to the Medford area in the spring of 2024. Originally from Iowa, he graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA, in 2010. As a second-generation chiropractor, Dr. Vanderloo specializes in Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, and Activator techniques.

Dr. Vanderloo also participated in the World's Clinic Abroad program in Casa Blanca, Morocco, where he provided care for underprivileged locals. Outside the clinic, he enjoys playing golf, snowboarding, and attending live music events. Dr. Vanderloo is excited to bring his expertise and passion for chiropractic care to the Southern Oregon community.

Dana Durant
Dana was born in Ashland Oregon and has lived here all her life. She has been providing Massage as a service for more than 10 years. Dana provides relief to her patients through deep tissue massage but with a gentle touch. One of the reasons Dana loves being a Massage Therapist is that she gets to help patients feel at their best. Dana believes in the healing benefits of deep tissue massage to educate her patients so they can make good health decisions for life.

Jean Sorenson
Jean was born and raised in Norfolk, England until she was 24 when she moved to California. She studied massage during her time in California and has been Licensed and helping patients for more than 17 years. She still loves what she does and says that being a Massage Therapist is her dream job. She claims the best part about what she does is the rewarding feeling she gets from making others feel better, alleviate aches and pains, help athletes perform better and help patients prevent injuries. Jean has worked in many environments but prefers to work alongside chiropractors because they have the same ideas and goals for the patients. She feels right at home here and knows that you will too.
Massage Therapist
Kelly Hanna
Kelly has over 20 years of continuous experience in body work with a wide variety of tools to work with. Her passion for body work began at about 20 years old, studying and focusing on self-healing modalities which lead her to her long-term career as a professional massage therapist.She studied at Golden State Business College, in Fresno CA earning her LMT certification. She enjoys focusing on mind, body, and spirit when working on her patients. Her modalities are deep tissue, Swedish, strategic Swedish, Reiki, and Table Thai, along with reflexology, Light language, and Graston.

Kim Hilborn
Kim brings an unwavering passion and a lifelong calling to her practice at Southern Oregon Chiropractic. Her journey began in Anchorage at the Alaska Institute of Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture, and Massage Therapy, where she earned her massage therapy license.
Additionally, Kim is a certified Qigong instructor, as well as proficient in nerve sliding and myofascial release (MFR) therapy. Committed to expanding her expertise, she upholds a Reiki Level II certification and is currently advancing her knowledge in Acupressure and Shiatsu through Open Pathways in San Francisco.
Having grown up on a farm, Kim’s natural instincts and love for working with her hands emerged early on. As a child, she discovered the art of locating and alleviating pain for her parents and grandparents. Kim’s innate calling to help those experiencing pain persisted through her career, beginning with Special Education and extending to caretaking for a family member with Dementia. Her passion eventually led her back to her true calling, culminating in what she considers the greatest accomplishment of her life – earning the letters “LMT” after her name.
Kim firmly believes in the holistic approach to health and imparts this philosophy through her healing touch, reminding us of the importance of the therapeutic pause. She views therapeutic
touch as the cornerstone of Holistic Medicine, offering both physical and mental benefits. In her role as a massage therapist at Southern Oregon Chiropractic, Kim’s ultimate goal is to guide her clients back to a state of balance. She emphasizes the essential role of continued bodywork in self-care, underlining the transformative power of maintaining overall well-being. Through her compassionate and skilled approach, Kim is dedicated to enhancing the lives of her clients and
fostering a profound sense of holistic healing.
